• Read the rules.  There have been no significant changes from last season.
  • Print the list of values for each team.  Only teams that have been been assigned a value may be selected for your roster.
  • Do some research!  There are plenty of preseason College Hoops magazines out there from which to choose, many of which cover all 344 Division I teams.   Also, most schools will have played a few games (or more) before your final roster is due.
  • Once you've decided on the 11 teams that will comprise your roster for the entire season, please take the following steps to submit your official entry:
  1. Print out and complete the official pool entry form.  Send the completed form along with your payment to the address provided, postmarked on or before Tuesday, November 15, 2011.  In the event of any discrepancies with your electronic entry, this form will be used and considered your final entry.
  1. Submit your entry online.  In addition to mailing your completed entry form, you must submit your entry electronically.  While emailed entries will continue to be accepted, you're encouraged to use our online entry form which, upon completion, will update our databases instantaneously.  All successfully received entries will be assigned an ID number which will be confirmation that your entry has been received.  Additionally, online entries will be time/date stamped and only those received by midnight, November 14, 2011 will be accepted.
  1. Email your entry. (optional)   If for any reason you are unable to complete the online entry form, an emailed version of your entry will be accepted as long as it is received prior to the deadline.   Your email must include your name and complete postal address, your pool name, and your picks.   An email form has been provided for your convenience.    Please note the email address this year: picks@seasonlongpool.com.
  • To avoid any discrepancies, please complete the manual entry first and use it to make your electronic submissions.  As stated earlier, in the event of any disparities in your entries, the manual entry form will be considered your final and official entry.
  • Have fun!  It's a long season, and as any of our veteran players will tell you, being in first place early (or the top ten for that matter) doesn't mean a whole lot.  The important thing is to choose a balanced roster of teams that will get you your share of points both in December and in March.  Good luck!
